Geoff Coombs is a photographer from Ontario, Canada, with a love for remote places. Geoff grew up in Port Credit, Ontario and in the summers he escaped the city with his family to a cottage in the northern lakes of Muskoka, and Georgian Bay, where he first found his love for nature. As an athlete throughout high school and university, Geoff found his two passions for art and sport molded into one through freediving, photography, and exploring the outdoors.
Over the past four years, Geoff has found his speciality shift towards underwater, landscape and outdoor lifestyle photography. His work has been featured in some of the world’s top editorial publications including Outside Magazine, National Geographic Online, and Mountain Life. In 2017, he was named Sport Photographer of the Year by the International Photography Awards and a finalist for the coveted Lucie Award for International Photographer of the Year.
In 2018, Geoff began to pursue photography full time and resides in his hometown of Port Credit. Creating powerful imagery and inspiring people to care for others and the Earth remains his goal.
